Marie O'Connell did a tandem sky dive for the Isle of Wight MS Society Branch. She raised an amazing £500.00. Marie has no connection with MS only that she knows our secretary, Jane through working at Jane's opticians.

| Saturday 11th July unfortunately dawned a bit damp and grey. It didn't however dampen the enthusiasm of Alf, Gwen and their family towards fundraising. |  |
| Alf and Gwen's open garden has become a familiar feature on many folk's social calendar. This year we were denied the pleasure of enjoying their magnificent gardens because of the weather. However the 'magnificent' scones were sufficient compensation. |  The day started early for the family and they were rewarded by a steady flow of guests, the first ones arriving very promptly at 10AM. Everyone who attended was able to enjoy tea, coffee, cakes or scones and good company throughout the day. There was a well supported raffle and of course the sale of Alf's books. |

At
the end of the day, after all the clearing up and washing up was
done, Gwen and Alf were able to 'cash up'. Alf, Gwen and their family would like to offer their grateful thanks to those people who supported them and those who made donations. |
